The delicate balance of a healthy physical vehicle, though aided by the near-miraculous ability of the body to throw off disease, can quickly be cast into disarray by the thoughts, feelings, and actions of an individual. Many of the afflictions of present-day Humanity -- in particular the illnesses that are called chronic -- are the direct result of wrong ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. By 'acting' is meant primarily those self-indulgences that have a direct negative impact on the physical body: excessive consumption of unnatural liquids like alcohol, vinegar, and sugared water; the consumption of non-food chemicals in the form of pills and medicinal potions; chemical injections; and the eating of animal cadavers."

"Inert gas beams can sap the power of the negative thought-forms. However, so long as these aetheric forms persist in the aura of the person, the complaint will remain, possibly becoming progressively worse. The normal way of sapping the energy of the form is to have the person strive against the affliction -- by seeking medical aid, or through exercising the weakened limb (for example), or simply by thinking positively about the condition. In some cases, there is so much negative energy to be discharged that the physical body literally succumbs to the onslaught and dies before the forms are exhausted. Such cases manifest as the 'killer' afflictions like Muscular Dystrophe and certain forms of cancer (although cancer is also used for special corrective purposes in terms of lesson-learning)."
