This allows each Soul or Higher Self to experience a physical body which has the identical flaws and imbalances that are found in That Higher Self, so that It can have a constant reminder regarding the areas of experience and the characteristics which still require work and effort on The Material Plane of being."

Indeed, the 'quickening' (usually signalled by deliberate body movement in the fetus) can only happen when an individual Soul has entered the new body. This is not to say that The Soul is tied to the fetus at the 'quickening'. Unless a premature birth is planned, this is almost never the case."
