"This Law, in its application to The Human Life-stream, becomes the basis for the reincarnation cycle now in effect. Naturally, there are many Life-streams which do not, at present, go through an analogous rebirth pattern. However, once a Life-stream has become subdivided into individual entities that have attained the threshold of permanence, it is a general rule that some form of cyclical manifestation at a given location -- for example, this Planet -- must take place for a certain period of physical time."
"In its broader aspect, The Law of Cycles can be seen to operate throughout the experience of any given Life-stream, and here We will give an example. The various groups and life-forms in evidence on this Planet belong to different Life-streams, which can be considered to be Groupings of similar entities all derived initially from the same 'mass of spirit-stuff' extracted from 'The Sea of Spirit', also called in some texts 'The Body of God'. Thus, there is a kinship among all entities of a given Life-stream which is closer than that between entities belonging to different Life-streams."
"Now, The Law of Cycles also applies to Life-streams and requires each Life-stream to undergo a series of 'outbreathings' or 'days' and 'inbreathings' or 'nights'. During its days, The Life-stream enters into a given life-form at a special location and -- usually through a series of lesser cycles or sub-cycles -- proceeds to learn the lessons which that life-form and that circumstance offers to It. Then The Life-stream withdraws into its night, and during this phase It digests and sorts through the experiences It has just had, integrating and balancing them in preparation for the next outbreathing or day. Hence, we have here a vaster cycle which is followed by all Life-streams almost without exception."
"Within this larger scheme, sub-cycles can be encountered. For example, The Human Life-stream is now experiencing its 'Man' phase, during which a reincarnational sub-cycle has been initiated. The reincarnational plan was not always in effect for Man, but when humans had reached the threshold of permanence, which took place a few million years ago, they were then enabled to pass through the gates of physical death and enter The Astral Realms in their Astral Bodies, There to learn other lessons in preparation for a re-entry into physical existence through the channel of birth."
